Improving the Supply and Quality of Jojoba and Promoting its Use Throughout the World

The International Jojoba Export Council is made up of jojoba growers, processors and marketers from jojoba around the world. Members include private companies and academic institutions from Argentina, Australia, Chile, Egypt, Israel, India, South Africa, Mexico, Peru and the USA.

The mission of the IJEC is to:

  • Identify new jojoba market opportunities, derivatives and co-products
  • Promote the use of jojoba as a natural, renewable and biodegradable resource
  • Promulgate and distribute uniform standards for jojoba products
  • Keep an open forum for technical collaboration
  • Improve farming and harvesting techniques
