The International Jojoba Export Council is made up of jojoba growers, processors and marketers from jojoba producing and marketing countries around the world. Members include private companies and academic institutions from Argentina, Australia, Chile, Egypt, Israel, Mexico, Peru and the USA.

The mission of the IJEC is to:

• Continually improve the supply and cost efficiencies of jojoba products
• Identify new jojoba market opportunities, derivatives and co-products
• Promote the use of jojoba as a natural, renewable and biodegradable resource
• Promulgate and distribute uniform standards for jojoba products
• Distribute accurate and up to date statistics for the jojoba industry
